Hey everyone!
Well, as it turns out, is really difficult to get on this site in China! And it's also reaaalllllyyyy slooowwww. So, I probably won't be able to update this as often as I was hoping! But, here's the news so far: we arrived safely in China! Yay! :)
Unfortunately I also cannot add pictures here at the moment. :( But we have lots of them! Guess you'll have to wait till we get home. ;)
We spent the day sightseeing and walking around in Beijing! Some highlights:
The Pearl Market! A great place to shop where you have to bargain the prices down! Everyone had a great time there.
Some of our group went to the Temple of Heaven and met some women dressed in traditional Chinese attire, who spontneously began dancing and brought our group members into the dance!
We met some great people and saw some adorable Chinese kids!
Tomorrow we're going to see the Great Wall! Definitely excited about that. :) Jana will be updating you through her letters, but I'm not sure how often I'll be able to post here. Please keep us in your thoughts as we tour Beijing and then travel to Taiyuan on Thursday!
